How To Make Stir-Fry Pork with Asian Greens
a flavourful and nutritious dish that combines tender pork with a variety of vibrant greens and aromatic seasonings. This quick and easy recipe is perfect for a weeknight dinner or a tasty lunch. Here's how you can make it at home:
Ingredients:
- 400 g pork fillet
- 1/2 of Chinese 5-spce powder
- 2 tsp of chopped garlic
- 2 tsp of grated ginger
- 2 tbsp of peanut oil
- 1 red onion, cut into wedges
- 1 bunch bok choy
- 1 bunch bay spinach
- 3 tbsp oyster sauce
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 tsp cornflour mixed with water
- few sprigs of coriander to garnish
How to make Stir-Fry pork with Asian Greens:
- Cut the pork int slices and then cut each slice in half. Combine with the Chinese 5-spice powder, garlic and ginger.
- Heat the peanut oil in a wok and fry the pork in batches until browned. Remove the meat and set aside
- Add a little more oil to the wok and fry the onion until soft. Add the bok choy and spinach, and fry until limp. Return the pork to the wok.
- Combine the oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil and honey and add to the wok.
- Bring to the boiling point, add the cornflour and boil until thickened. Garnish with the coriander and serve over rice or noodles.
