 How to make Drunken Chicken Soup




Hi!! there it's your Chef Mluh in the kitchen again with another delicious chicken recipe bring it to your table, my Aunt is the one who first introduced this recipe. So over the weekend I hit her up and she gave me the recipe so let's make this juice, mouthwatering dish. So Let Delve












Ingredients:

-  30 ml of olive oil

-  30 ml butter

- 2 red onions

- 300 g of mushroom

- 15 ml flour

- salt and ground black pepper

- 1 tbsp of chopped thyme

- 6 chicken breast

- 300 ml chicken stock

- 10 ml tomato sauce/ paste

- 10 ml of orange rind "grated"

- 100 ml of orange juice

- 100 ml of sherry

- 20 ml of Worcestershire sauce

- 250 ml sour cream

- spring of thyme, chopped


How to make Drunken Chicken Soup:

- Heat 25 ml of your olive oil and the butter in a large fry pan and fry your onions and mushrooms for like 5 mins or till slightly brown.

- Remove your onions and mushrooms and set aside. 

- Season the flour with salt, pepper and thyme and use to coat the chicken breasts.

- Add the remaining olive oil to your pan and fry the chicken breast until evenly browned.

- Return the onion mixture to the pan along with the chicken stock, tomato sauce, orange rind, orange juice, sherry and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to the boiling point, then reduce the heat, cover and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked through.

- Adjust the seasoning, stir in the sour cream and garnish with thyme.

- Serve this with rice or pasta or mashed potatoes.


This drunken chicken dish great if you host a small gathering or simply having friends and family over and you want to cook something in the kitchen to impress them this is the go to soup.
